EYFS‑Aligned Learning for Every Stage of Early Childhood
At Crayons Nursery in Meydan, every age group follows the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework, providing children with the essential skills, knowledge and confidence they need for lifelong learning. Our curriculum is carefully tailored to each stage of development, encouraging curiosity, independence, creativity and emotional wellbeing while supporting every child’s unique learning journey.
What is the EYFS Framework?
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is the British framework which promotes the learning, development and care of children from 45 days to 5 years. It is the gold standard in early childhood education used by the best nurseries and schools internationally.
At Crayons Nursery, our EYFS curriculum is delivered by qualified, experienced early years educators who understand how young children learn best through play, exploration, relationships and hands-on discovery.
Areas of Development
Communication & Language
Strong language skills form the foundation for learning, relationships and self-expression. We encourage children to express themselves with confidence, through conversations, storytelling and group interactions.
Physical Development
Through both indoor and outdoor activities, children develop coordination, strength and fine motor skills. From movement-based play to hands-on tasks, we support healthy physical growth and independence.
Personal, Social & Emotional Development
We help children build positive relationships, understand emotions and develop self-confidence. Creating a safe and nurturing environment allows each child to feel secure, valued and ready to explore.
Literacy
Children are introduced to early reading and writing skills through stories, songs, rhymes and meaningful learning experiences. We nurture a love of language while building the skills needed for future literacy development.
Mathematics
Mathematical concepts are introduced through play, exploration and everyday activities. Children begin to develop an understanding of numbers, patterns, shapes, measurement and problem-solving in engaging and practical ways.
Understanding the World
Children are encouraged to explore the people, places and environments around them. Through discovery, investigation and hands-on experiences, they develop curiosity, awareness and a deeper understanding of the world they live in.
Expressive Arts & Design
Creativity is encouraged through art, music, role play and imaginative activities. These experiences allow children to explore ideas, express emotions and develop original thinking.

Babies (45 Days – 12 Months)
A Gentle Start, Rooted in EYFS Prime Areas
Welcoming children from just 45 days old, our baby nursery provide a calm, nurturing environment where your child’s earliest experiences are guided by the EYFS prime areas: Communication & Language, Physical Development and Personal, Social & Emotional Development.
What we focus on:
- Secure attachment and emotional bonding
- Sensory exploration to stimulate early brain development

Toddlers (1 – 2 Years)
